Riverston School              An Independent Day School NEWS Fee Freeze for Academic Year 09/10 Due to the current economic climate, Riverston have agreed a 'Fee Freeze' for the next academic year. Special discounted package for new students entering Year 10 (GCSE Courses) in September 2009 (subject to terms & conditions) Duke of Edinburgh's Award Pupils in Y9 are given the opportunity to participate in the bronze Duke of Edinburgh award scheme. This entails taking part in a community service which at Riverston can involve listening and encouraging the younger children to read; becoming actively absorbed in a hobby or pastime e.g horse riding; keeping physically fit and finally participating in the outward bound expedition with an overnight stay under canvas. Passing the bronze award requires determination, strength of character, the ability to work as part of a team and commitment. A high importance is placed on this thoroughly worth while award scheme. Pupils recently completed their bronze award we look forward to presenting them with certificates in the Autumn Term.
